About Us
The Death Care Academy of Ireland is an organisation set up under the guidance of professionals within the funeral, health & safety and counselling sectors of Ireland. Its aim is to provide an opportunity to learn and develop new skills for those within the funeral sector as well as other organisations whom during their line of duty touch on death and bereavement in some form.
In participating in such courses, subscribers to the Death Care Academy will show their commitment in providing the highest standards of care and professionalism at all stages of the bereavement process to ensure that those affected will be treated with dignity and respect at all times.
The DCA is receptive to working with all organisations that have a duty of care to the deceased and their families by providing assistance and knowledge in the area of embalming, funeral directing, bereavement counselling and health & safety requirements.

The DCA regards itself as an all-inclusive organisation whose objective is to educate and train those within the deathcare services to help raise and improve standards relating to all aspects of deathcare. This will be done through providing industry specific training to those that wish to learn, develop and implement skills that will provide them with the qualifications and knowledge necessary to improve on their standards of care to the deceased, the bereaved and those that work directly in the deathcare services of Ireland.
